About Us
St. Joseph's Church is a living Catholic parish church located in Lalgudi. It serves as the deanery headquarters of the Lalgudi Deanery within the Diocese of Kumbakonam.
Established as a separate parish in 1985 under its first parish priest, Rev. Fr. P. Thangasamy, the parish today stands under the leadership of the Dean (Vicar Forane) as a vibrant faith community — coordinating pastoral life across 20 deanery parishes and 7 branch churches, and home to a rich network of prayer groups and devotional sodalities.
